Cellier des Dauphins Vinsobres 2007

This is a "Cru" level wine from the village of Vinsobres in the southern Rhone (further explanation of Rhone crus here).  

I didn't find this wine as exciting as the one mentioned in the link above, however it was still pretty good.  While the Lirac was all about meaty Syrah, this seemed more about sweet, ripe Grenache character, with a bit of oak as well.

Decent complexity, acidity and high (although not out of balance) alcohol sums this up.  I'd say it's a pretty good bargain at £5.99 (on offer).
