Chartreuse de Bonpase Reserve Cotes du Rhone 2007

This is a pretty decent Cotes du Rhone from Louis Bernard. It is from their Chartreuse de Bonpase range, which I think is supposed to be a bit more high-end than their generic appellation wines.

It has a good red-fruit nose and a nice chalky, minerally palate with good grip. A nice wine, and good value at £5.99 (from £8.99). I'm always moaning about the lack of decent, well-priced Rhone wines. Well, here's one. Recommended.
