I'm not really sure what the point of this Champagne is. It's made Piper & Charles Heidsieck, who also produce a Brut NV, a Blanc de Blancs, and a vintage Champagne for Waitrose. They are all good value, and the Bredon is the least expensive of the lot. Perhaps this is just to satisfy a price point, the "bargain basement" Champagne.Either way, it's pretty decent. It didn't blow my socks off, but where else would you find a Champagne made by a decent producer for under £15? For a second opinion, it also usually gets a least a commendation in Decanter magazine tastings, if not a medal.
