Cheap and cheerful, this Spanish red was obtained at Sainsbury's for half price. It's a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barcelona area of Spain.Although it's 8 years old, it still exhibits a freshness and ripe-fruit flavour that makes it a good match for tomato sauce type food. Don't expect any complex flavours or anything, it has no finish to speak of, and is probably just about worth £3.99. Nothing wrong with that, though.
