I'm a big fan of Alsatian wines to begin with, and was longing to try a Cremant from the region for a while now, and this was the first one I've seen available by the bottle in a shop.
It was well-received around the table, and I'll definitely be trying more. It's not as complex as Champagne, but it's a great aperitif and is very nice with food.

Love a nice bottle of Cremant d'Alsace. Heaton Wines in Romsey drive over to France every so often bringing back under-the-radar things, and they do have a good range of Crémant d'Alsace, Crémant de Bordeaux, Crémant de Bourgogne and Crémant de Loire...at the very least these make an interesting change from Prosecco. No affiliation etc - their sparkling wines are terrific across the board but mixed feelings about the rest of their range.
