Tonight a Clare Valley Riesling was in order. I'm rarely disappointed by these, and this was no exception. My only regret is I haven't tried this wine after a few years in the cellar.I prefer my Riesling with some bottle age, to enjoy those secondary characteristics, especially the petrol and honey characters. This wine was fresh, limey, bright, and acidic - good but it just seems it has more to offer.
I need to start putting some of these away instead of drinking them so young - aged examples aren't always easy to find.
